Please note the following:

• Use of Chime 2.6 with IE 5.0 on the Macintosh. I have been able to use Chime 2.6 with IE 5.0 on Power Macintosh (tested on G3 powerbook and an older 8500). Chime runs with uncompressed pdb files, not with gzipped files over the internet. Chime appears to work with uncompressed and compressed (gzipped) local files. It has been reported to me that Chime 2.6 crashes with IE 4.5. Use caution when running Chime 2.6 within IE for the Macintosh.
• Use of Chime 2.6 with NC 4.75 on the Macintosh. I have noted one problem when using Chime 2.6 with NC 4.75 on Power Macintosh (tested on G3 powerbook). Local files that call for the Chime plug-in will result in a broken icon, suggesting that Chime is not installed within the NC Plug-in folder. A work around is to install the Chime 2.0a plug-in in place of the Chime 2.6 plug-in.
• Use of recent versions of NC and IE. The RasMol list-server has indicated that the latest versions of NC (version 6) and IE (versions higher than 5.5) do not work with the Chime 2.6 plug-in. I have been able to use Chime 2.6 with NC 7.0.
