University of South Florida at St. Louis University 11 October 2003
Fifth (#5) ranked SLU (9-1-2, 4-1-1) went to overtime to defeat the University of South Florida (4-5-2, 1-3-1) in a C-USA match at Robert R. Hermann Stadium before a vocal homecoming crowd of 5,591 on a pleasant St. Louis night. Although the Billikens dominated play in the first half, the Bulls were able to put a shot past sophomore goalkeeper Jeff Sackman (30) for an early lead with just 35 seconds remaining in the half. SLU battled back with a second half goal by freshman forward Verdad Ibisevic (9) and then earned the victory with an overtime goal by freshman forward Will John (13). The Billikens finished with 11 shots-on-goal.


Billikens freshman forward Vedad Ibisevic (9) kept the USF goalkeeper very busy during the game with 5 shots-on-goal. He scored a second half goal on an assist from freshman midfielder John DiRaimondo (8) to tie the match and assisted on the winning goal by freshman forward Will John (13) in the overtime period.

Billikens sophomore goalkeeper Jeff Sackman (35) played in his second straight match replacing the injured Martin Hutton. A late first-half goal by Bulls midfielder Keeron Benito (19) gave USF an early lead.
