17th ranked SLU (15-3-2) emerged with a 1-0 victory in their second-round NCAA match against the University of New Mexico (18-4-0) at Hermann Stadium before a crowd of 1,722 on a cold evening in St. Louis. SLU took the lead in the first half on a goal by senior forward Jack Jewsbury (12). The Billikens had 6 shots-on-goal and limited the Lobos to 2 shots-on-goal. SLU will next face the University of Maryland in a third-round match-up in College Park, MD on Dec 1st.


Billikens freshman forward Cooper McKee (11) took 3 shots with one shot-on-goal.


SLU freshman midfielder Andrew Moses (14) took one shot and helped maintain pressure on the Lobos defense.


Billikens senior forward Nick Walls (8) teamed with senior forward Jack Jewsbury (12) for the only goal of the game.
