Saint Louis University (14-12, 6-8) blew a 13-point 2nd-half lead to visiting DePaul University (18-9, 8-6) before 13,597 fans at the Kiel Center. The 54-55 Blue Demon victory preserves their hope (with Cincinatti in their way) for an NCAA bid.

Seven Billikens scored but Justin Tatum (40) was the only player to score in double figures. DePaul was led by Quentin Richardson (3) with 15 points and Paul McPherson (23) with 17 points, including the game winning basket.


Billiken junior center Chris Heinrich (35) led the team with 7 rebounds to go along with his 8 points.


Billiken Justin Love (3) scored 9 points and collected 6 rebounds.

DePaul's Ayinde Avery (13) demonstrates one of his game-high 4 blocks.

SLU junior forward Justin Tatum (40) led the Billikens with 11 points.

DePaul forward Quentin Richardson (3) scores against SLU's Justin Love (3) and Maurice Jeffers (31). Richardson finished with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Jeffers contributed 6 points.


Blue Demon Paul McPherson (23) drives the baseline with under 3 s remaining to give DePaul the victory. McPherson led all scorers with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
