SIUC (1-6) hosted a defeat to Michigan State University (6-3) before a crowd of approximately 150 people in the 10,000 seat SIUC arena; a good portion of the attendees were brownies and girls scouts. Although SIUC played better in front of the home fans, they were unable to maintain their 31-26 half-time lead. Better shooting and defense from MSU contributed to their demise. The final score was 66-56.
