The Billikens were led by junior guards Tommie Liddell, III (16 pts, 9 rebounds, 3 turnovers) and Kevin Lisch (16 pts, 2 rebounds, 4 assists), senior guard Danny Brown (14 pts, 7 rebounds, 5 assists), and senior forward Luke Meyer (9 pts, 9 rebounds). Saint Louis shot 46% from the field (25% from 3-pt range) and 64% (18-28) from the charity line. The Minutemen were led by senior forward Gary Forbes (20 pts, 4 rebounds, 3 turnovers), junior guard Chris Lowe (14 pts, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 turnovers), and senior forward Etienne Brower (12 pts, 5 rebounds), while sophomore guard Ricky Harris was held 14 pts below his 20-pt average. Massachusetts shot 30% from the field (10% from 3-pt range) and 77% (17-22) from the charity line. The Billikens had 44 rebounds (6O, 38D), 16 assists, 5 steals, 8 blocked shots, and 12 turnovers as compared with 40 rebounds (11O, 29D), 4 assists, 3 steals, 6 blocked shots, and 12 turnovers by the Minutemen.

SLU junior guard Kevin Lisch (21) finished with 16 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and only 1 turnover. Billiken junior guard Tommie Liddell, III (25) goes up against Minutemen senior forward Gary Forbes (3). LIddell finished with 16 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 turnovers, 1 blocked shot, and 1 steal. SLU senior guard Danny Brown (1) keeps the ball away from UMass sophomore guard Ricky Harris (5). Brown scored 14 points to go with 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 turnovers, and 2 blocked shots. Billiken senior forward Luke Meyer (32) drives past Minutemen freshman guard Matt Glass (33). Meyer finished with 9 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 turnovers, 2 blocked shots, and 2 steals.

 
Minutemen senior forward Gary Forbes (3) shoots over Tommie Liddell, III (25) on his way to a game-high 20 points. Forbes also had 4 rebounds and 3 turnovers. Massachusetts junior guard Chris Lowe (14 drives against Billiken junior guard Kevin Lisch (21). Lowe finished with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 turnovers, and 1 steal. Massachusetts senior forward Etienne Brower (22) is defended by SLU junior guard Tommie Liddell, III (25). Brower scored 12 points and collected 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 blocked shot. Minutemen sophomore guard Ricky Harris (5) was held well below his 20 ppg scoring average. Harris finished the game with 6 points and 2 rebounds.
