SLU Billikens (0-0, 0-0) blew past the University of Missouri-St. Louis (0-0, 0-0) 84-50 at the Scottrade Center (reported attendance, n/a). This classic Division I versus Division II match-up was a mismatch from the start as the Billikens took command of the court over the Riverman. Senior center Ian Vouyoukas (10 pts), sophomore guard Tommie Liddell (10 pts), and sophomore guard Kevin Lisch (9 pts) provided most of SLU's 43-20 halftime lead. Coach Soderberg was able to provide many of his players (including redshirt freshman forward Obi Ikeakor [9 pts, 4 rebounds]) with court time. The Billikens shot 47% from the field (36% from 3-pt range) and 67% from the charity line. The Riverman were led by senior forward Brad Ledbetter (15 pts, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 turnovers) and junior forward David Ward (11 pts, 9 rebounds, 4 turnovers). UMSL shot 29% from the field (29% from 3-pt range) and 48% from the charity line. SLU had 43 rebounds (13O, 30D), 20 assists, 7 steals, 6 blocked shots, and 11 turnovers as compared with 41 rebounds (15O, 26D), 10 assists, and 19 turnovers by UMSL.

SLU sophomore guard (and Belleville native) Kevin Lisch (21) scored 12 points to go with 2 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals. Billiken senior center Ian Vouyoukas (15) scored 14 points to go with 9 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Billiken junior guard Danny Brown (1) lead the team with 18 points and 5 rebounds. SLU sophomore guard Tommie Liddell (25) contributed 12 points, along with 3 rebounds and 4 assists.
