The University of Cincinnati Bearcats (13-1, 2-0) defeated SLU (3-11, 1-1) 53-69 in their last C-USA game together at the Savvis Center (reported attendance, 8,761; my estimate is less than half that number). The Billikens stayed with Cincinnati for the first portion of the first half behind the scoring of senior forward Izik Ohanon (14 pts) but trailed 34-24 at the intermission. Ohanon finished with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 turnovers, while junior guard Anthony Drejaj chipped in 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist. The Billikens shot 36% from the field (22% from 3-pt range) and 82% from the charity line. The Bearcats were led by junior guard Armein Kirkland (22 pts, 6 rebounds, 5 assist), senior forward Jason Maxiell (17 pts, 9 rebounds, 1 assists), and junior forward James White (13 pts, 5 rebounds, 2 assists). Cincinnati shot 46% from the field (39% from 3-pt range) and 50% from the charity line. SLU had 34 rebounds (10O, 24D), 11 assists, 5 steals, and 11 turnovers as compared with 38 rebounds (12O, 26D), 16 assists, 3 steals, 7 blocked shots, and 9 turnovers by Cincinnati.

SLU sophomore center Ian Vouyoukas (15) looks for an offensive rebound. Vouyoukas scored 4 points and collected 9 rebounds. Bearcats junior forward James White (21) contributed 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Billikens freshman guard Dwayne Polk (00) added 4 points and 3 assists. Polk is defended by Cincinnati's junior guard Armein Kirkland (33) who scored a game-high 22 points (6 rebounds, 5 assists).

Billikens junior guard Anthony Drejaj (20) contributed 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assists. Bearcats senior forward Jason Maxiell (54) contributed 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 assist.
