The Marquette University Golden Eagles (15-5, 3-4) ended a three-game skid with a 55-51 double-overtime win against SLU Billikens (5-14, 3-4) at the Savvis Center (reported attendance, 9,758). The Billikens trailed 20-22 at the intermission but stayed with Marquette at the end of regulation (42-42) and the first OT (47-47). SLU was led by sophomore Ian Vouyoukas (13 pts, 7 rebounds), senior guard Reggie Bryant (12 pts), and senior forward Izik Ohanon (12 pts, 14 rebounds). The Billikens shot 32% from the field (38% from 3-pt range) and 67% from the charity line. The Golden Eagles playing without the services of senior guard Travis Diener (22 ppg) were led by junior forward Steve Novak (23 pts, 7 rebounds), junior guard Joe Chapman (14 pts, 4 assists), sophomore guard Dameon Mason (12 pts, 5 rebounds), and senior forward Marcus Jackson (16 rebounds). Marquette shot a season-low 30% from the field (34% from 3-pt range) and 78% from the charity line. SLU had 39 rebounds (14O, 21D), 11 assists, 4 steals, and 14 turnovers as compared with 45 rebounds (13O, 32D), 10 assists, 5 steals, and 13 turnovers by Marquette.

SLU senior forward Izik Ohanon (30) scored 12 points and collected 14 rebounds.

Billikens senior guard Reggie Bryant (21) drives for 2 of his 12 points.
