SLU (6-5) moved over the 0.500 mark under the direction of Brad Soderberg with an easy 75-45 victory over West Virginia University (8-3) at Savvis Center before a small crowd (reported attendance, 8,697). The Billikens led at the half 30-18 behind 8 points from freshman center Izik Ohanon (30) and senior center Kenny Brown (41) with 6 points. Ohanon (who sat out 8 games due to an NCAA infraction/violation related to professional play in Israel) had a career high 18 points. SLU seniors Marque Perry (5) and Drew Diener (21) scored 14 and 12 points, respectively. The Billikens dominated the boards with 32 rebounds while limiting WVU to 19 rebounds. The Mountaineers were led by sophomore guard Drew Schifino (15) with 22 points and freshman guard Patrick Beilein (3) with 8 points.


Billikens senior center Kenny Brown (41) scored easily inside the lane against the vistiting Mountaineers. Brown had 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist for the game. WVU sophomore guard Drew Schifino (15) can do nothing but watch (left and middle photo) but led the Mountaineers with 22 points and 2 rebounds.
