SLU (14-12, 8-7) captured their sixth straight win with a 50-39 victory against UNC-Charlotte (13-14, 8-7) on senior night at Savvis Center (reported attendance, 9,826). The Billikens were able to maintain a 23-13 half-time lead behind the last regular season home game of senior guard Marque Perry (5), who scored 17 points. Freshman forward Izik Ohanon (30) was the only other Billiken in double figures with 10 points. SLU held Charlotte to their lowest three-point output and scoring effort of the season. The Billikens shot 36% from the field, 28% from three-point range and 68% from the charity line. SLU had 32 rebounds and 12 turnovers. The 49ers were led by sophomore guard Eddie Basden (13), junior guard Demon Brown (11) and junior forward Calvin Clemmons (35) with 9, 9 and 8 points, respectively. Charlotte shot 28% from the field, 17% from three-point territory and 39% from the free-throw line. The 49ers collected 42 rebounds and committed 16 turnovers.


Senior guard Marque Perry (5) scored a game-high 17 points, pulled down 4 rebounds, dished out 4 assists in his final regular season home game. Charlotte 49ers sophomore forward Eddie Basden (13) tries to defend against Perry. Basden finished with 9 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 turnovers.


SLU freshman forward Izik Ohanon (30) had 10 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 4 turnovers. Charlotte freshman forward Curtis Withers (3) had 3 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 blocked shot and 4 turnovers.


SLU senior guard Josh Fisher (4) scored 6 points to go with 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 1 blocked shot and 1 turnover.


SLU senior center Kenny Brown (41) scored 5 points and collected 8 rebounds, 2 blocked shots and 2 steals. He grabbed this rebound from 49ers junior guard Demon Brown (11), who was held to 9 point, 1 rebound and 2 steals. Brown was 3-13 on 3-point attempts.
