SLU (13-12, 7-7) extended their win streak to five games with a 76-74 double-overtime victory against Tulane University (14-13, 7-7) at Savvis Center (reported attendance, 10,702). Behind senior guard Marque Perry (5), who scored a game-high 27 points, SLU overcame a 24-33 half-time deficit to tie the game 59-59 in regulation time. After the first overtime period, the score remained tied at 67-67, but then the Billikens got some breaks and were able to pull out the victory. Tulane was led by senior forward Brandon Brown (5) with 26 points. The Billikens shot 40% from the field, 36% from three-point range and 69% from the charity line. SLU had 30 rebounds and 10 turnovers. Tulane shot 46% from the field, 25% from three-point territory and 75% from the free-throw line. The Green Wave collected 40 rebounds and committed 13 turnovers.


Billikens senior guard Marque Perry (5) scored a game-high 27 points, pulled down 4 rebounds, dished out 7 assists, had 1 steal and committed 4 turnovers in 50 minutes of play. A vairety of defenders tried to contain Perry, including Tulane senior guards Brandon Brown (5, left image) who scored 26 points to go with 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 blocked shot and 3 turnovers and Waitari Marsh (3, right image) who contributed 17 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist.


SLU junior forward Chris Sloan (33) scored 13 points and collected 11 rebounds and 2 steals.
