SLU (10-12, 4-7) continued their momentum with a 56-42 victory over East Carolina University (12-10, 3-8) at Savvis Center (reported attendance, 8,325). The Billikens took a comfortable 30-14 halftime lead behind senior guard Marque Perry's (5) 15 points. Perry finished with 22 points followed by senior guard Josh Fisher (4) and junior forward Chris Sloan (33) with 10 points each. SLU shot 45% from the field but only 13% from three-point range. The Pirates were led by junior forward Erroyl Bing (33) with 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Billikens trailed on the boards 31 to 29, but committed fewer turnovers (8 vs. 15) and had more steals (10 vs. 3).


Billikens senior guard Marque Perry (5) had 22 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 blocked shot, and 4 steals in 40 minutes of play. Looking on are ECU junior forward Gabriel Mikulas (51) and senior guard Travis Holcomb-Faye (42), who scored 9 and 10 points, respectively.


SLU senior guard Josh Fisher (4) scored 11 points to go with 1 rebound, 2 assists, and 2 steals.


SLU junior forward Chris Sloan (33) played another strong game with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 1 blocked shot, and 4 steals.
