| Saint Louis University (11-13, 5-6) continues to strike gold with a convincing 73-54 win over UNC-Charlotte (14-8, 8-3) in the Savvis Center (reported attendance, 9,942). Marque Perry scored the first 7 points for the Billikens before Drew Diener took over with 3-point shooting. Diener scored 17 points to help the Billikens take a comfortable 35-25 halftime lead. The 49ers could not get on track, even more so after Coach Bobby Lutz received two quick technical fouls and was sent to the dressing room early in the second half. Although the 49ers outrebounded the Billikens, 35 (14 offensive) to 27 (5 offensive), poor shooting from the field and the free-throw line kept them on the losing end. |
