University of Louisville at St. Louis University 22 February 2002

Saint Louis University (13-15, 7-7) swept their season series against University of Louisville (15-11, 6-8); this time a 56-50 victory in the Savvis Center (reported attendance, 14,483). The Billikens used a balanced attack during their last home game of the season, which resulted in a 29-17 halftime advantage. SLU was led by Marque Perry (16 points) and Jason Edwin (11 points). Although Louisville's lead scorer Reece Gaines hit for 29 points, it could have been more. Fortunately, the Billikens allowed only five Louisville players to score. The Cardinals used a full-court press for much of the game but were unable to convert on offense.
