SLU (6-4) easily dominated the University of Kansas (4-7), their second Big 12 opponent this season, with a 73-61 victory in the Bauman-Eberhardt Center (447 attendance). The Billikens used only seven players due to ongoing foot injuries to a bulk of the starters. SLU went 11-15 from the free-throw line while KU managed only 1-6 charity opportunities.


Sophomore forward Angie Lewis (50) led the Billikens with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals.


Billikens junior center Amie van Deurzen (34) contributed 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist.


SLU junior guard Greta Bujaker (12) scored 14 points, grabbed 1 rebound, and dished out 3 assists. Bujaker was 3-6 from 3-point range.


Billiken sophomore guard Jana Haywood (24) scored 8 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and had 1 assist.


Junior guard Star Jackson (25) led the team with 8 assists while scoring 8 points and collecting 3 rebounds.


Freshman guard Laniya Stevens (20) soared to 11 points, 6 boards, and 4 assists in the Billiken victory.
