SLU (11-9, 3-4) appeared to run-out-of-steam against visiting DePaul University (10-10, 2-6) in the Savvis Center (12,378 reported attendance). The Billikens trailed 38-37 at halftime, but fell victim to DePaul's better shooting and rebounding performance during the second half. Using only seven players, the Blue Demons posted a relatively easy 86-68 Conference USA victory, their second of the season against the Billikens.


SLU sophomore guard Marque Perry (5) shoots for a basket on his way to 9 points while distributing 5 assists.


DePaul junior forward Bobby Simmons (32) scores over Billiken senior guard Maurice Jeffers (31). Simmons finshed with 22 points, while Jeffers added 18 points and 6 rebounds.

Blue Demon sophomore center Steve Hunter (45) drives home a message by scoring 20 points and gathering 3 rebounds.

DePaul sophomore guard Joe Tulley (12) scored 23 points to lead the Blue Demons to their first victory after 6 straight Conference USA losses. SLU sophomore guard Josh Fisher (4) was not able to contain Tulley, but contributed 6 point in the home loss.

SLU senior center Chris Heinrich (35) contributed 17 points and 7 rebounds as he tried to manage DePaul's big men.
